General Description

This course is designed to give you the knowledge and tools to set up your own search engine optimization campaign. During the course an actual website of your choice will be used for exercises in the various steps of a website promotion campaign.

Sessions will cover a lot of material and will be 3 hours each including 30 minute breaks.

Session one topics:

• Forming an overall web promotion strategy
• Competition research
• Website statistical analysis
• Keyword research and analysis
• Search engine optimization concepts

Session two topics:

• Analyzing an existing site using search engine optimization concepts
• Implementing search engine optimization changes to an existing site using keyphrases selected in session one.
• Setting up Google AdWords PPC advertising including choosing keyphrases, ad copy, and bid amounts.

Session three topics:

• Logging in and making changes to the Google AdWords account to make improvements based on actual activity.
• Writing descriptions for directories
• Directory submissions
• Search engine submissions and follow ups
• Using Yahoo Search marketing
• Other topics based on interests of student
• Other notes:Dates to be determined at registration.
